In 2017 through happenstance, Laurie David met Peggy Freydberg, a truly remarkable woman, in Martha’s Vineyard, MA. Peggy, 106 years of age at the time, had begun writing poetry at the age of 92 and Laurie was impressed by the serenity and wisdom of her body of work.

Laurie commissioned ICLA, based on a referral, to design and print a collection of Peggy’s poems as a tribute to a woman who lived her life to the fullest.
